DP GACHAGUA DENIES CLAIM OF STATE PAID MPS SH 2M
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has denied claims that the government paid the mps sh2 million to vote ‘YES’ for the finance bill. Juja MP George Koimburi claimed that State House paid Member of Parliament each 2 million shillings to support the Finance bill.
“That MP is lying .President Ruto and I did not give out the said sh400 million dirty cash as claimed…we did not seek to corrupty influence any member to vote for the bill,” DP Gachagua said as he addressed the public at Kenol town today 29TH June,2024.
Mr George had last Sunday, while at a church service at Ndururumo African Pentecostal Church said that the MPs received 2 Million each to vote in support for the finance bill.
He claimed that the 195 Members of Parliament had received each 2 million shillings from the government that had been transported by one of the states men to the parliament buildings.
The MP Juja , Mr George was among the members who had voted no to the fin ance bill that brought u thought tension in the country with over 25 deaths and several injuries according to Amnesty International Kenya.
The Deputy President ,” the Members of Parliament who voted in support of the bill were exercising their patriotism and loyalty to the President and the party achieve the service delivery agenda and collective responsibility as demanded by the ruling party UDA position and leaders.”
Also at a bursary fundraiser at Kaharati Primary School the Deputy President insisted on togetherness and making Kenya a great nation.
