GOONS DISRUPT KALONZO MUSYOKA`S PRESSER AT JARAMOGI OGINGA FOUNDATION
There was drama at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation offices after youths disrupted a press conference by Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya principal Kalonzo Musyoka following failure by leaders to agree on the creation of a Government of National Unity with President William Ruto.
The 50 rowdy youths shouted pro-Azimio leader Raila Odinga slogans, picking chairs and starting to throw them towards the leaders and journalists. Youths who said they will not allow any Coalition Principal to disrespect Raila Odinga drove leaders, journalists out of the compound, some scribes battered by plastic chairs.
“Nobody disrespects Raila when we are alive, no press conference here,” the youths shouted as they turned chairs upside down.
The Wiper Party leader was addressing the press when youths stormed the tent, claiming that they would not allow any leader to disrespect Raila.
The Wiper leader flanked by Legislators such as Budalang’i MP Raphael Wanjala and Migori Woman Representative Mohammed Fatuma among others addressed the media. Also available at the venue of the aborted meeting is former Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju.
The Legend Media can now exclusively reveal that the leaders have disagreed on whether or not the coalition should join President William Ruto’s government, pipped to the wall by protesters accusing it of incompetence.
It emerged that whereas while Raila’s Azimio is for the joining of Ruto, affiliate parties are not keen, hence the roll of thwarting the presser by Kalonzo.
The coalition has been locked up in meetings in a bid to strike an agreement on the issue of dialogue and the future of ongoing protests that have been staged countrywide against the government.
