Kenya Police Bullets, the 2023/24 FKF Women Premier League champions, are set to represent Kenya in the fourth edition of the CECAFA Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.
The tournament will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from August 17 to September 4, 2024.
The team departed for Addis Ababa on August 14, 2024, and their campaign kicks off on August 18 with a match against Warrior Queens at 1 p.m. local time at the Addis Ababa Stadium.
This opening game will be pivotal in shaping their performance in the tournament.
Their schedule continues with a match against Yei Joint Stars on August 19 at 4 p.m, followed by a clash with CBE Women FC on August 21 at 3 p.m. Their group stage will wrap up with a game against Rayon Sports WFC on August 25, also at 3 p.m.
Should Kenya Police Bullets advance beyond the group stage, they will compete in the semi-finals on August 28, with the tournament concluding on August 31 with both the final and the third-place playoff.
This tournament doubles as a qualifier for the CAF Women’s Champions League, making each match critical for the team’s aspirations on the continental stage.
Kenya Police coach Beldine Odemba said: “We are going to give our best in the competition.” The club suffered a blow after National U20 captain Jane Hato went missing shortly before the Ethiopia trip.
