KENYAN DEPUTY PRESIDENT INSTRUCTS DPP TO RESIGN

During a press conference in Mombasa the Kenyan Deputy President has blamed the NIS and the presidential advisors on the ongoing protests in Kenya this comes only hours before the tomorrow protest aiming to reach the Presidential Statehouse. This comes only some few hours after the President, William Ruto finished his press briefing where he stated that he’ll not assent the controversial finance bill that has caused a lot of political heat in the country.

“NIS Director Noordin Haji must take full responsibility for the deaths that occurred and the breach of parliament. He must resign. The security sector was caught off-guard by the intensity of the protests,” DP Rigathi Gachagua stated.

The Deputy President later stated that the NIS is being used to target MPs who voted No to the Finance Bill and criticized the abduction of Attorney General Justin Muturi’s son who was held incommunicado for over 8 hours along other activist.

In his statement the Deputy President applauded the President on the bold decision to withdraw the controversial Finance Bill which was set to overtax the public. He urged the President to embrace dialogue to avoid further deadly effects like loss of lives during protests sending his condolences to the affected.

Deputy President requested the youths (Gen-Z) to call off the planned Thursday protest and confirmed that the bereaved families and the injured protest will be compensated.

He also took to the podium to fully criticize the forceful demolition of houses in parts of Nairobi City. He requested the department responsible to compensate the affected well without any discrimination.
