A truck ferrying unrefined oil overturned on Friday on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway. The resident of Gitaru had a field day as some of them went to siphon the unrefined oil.
This incident was confirmed by the Kikuyu Deputy Police stating that the oil is not safe for human consumption. The road was partly closed to prevent any other accident as efforts are underway to tow the truck.
This incident occurred a few days after a similar incident occurred. The residents are now asking the government to speed up the Nairobi-Nakuru highway construction to prevent more accidents.
