Inooro TV presenter Njambi wa Njau has bid farewell to her role at Royal Media Services (RMS) in search of greener pastures abroad.
On Wednesday, Njambi announced that she’s heading to the United States to work with another media station, though she remained tight-lipped about the details of her new role.
“My tenure at Inooro TV has come to an end, but I thank God for this new blessing. People of the diaspora, let us meet on your screens,” Njambi shared in a post.
Expressing excitement over the new chapter in her career, Njambi reflected on the importance of change. “Life is about leaving what you think you love and trying new things. It’s about closing the doors on things that make you feel okay when you’re not,” she said.
In a heartfelt message, she added, “I thank God for this new phase in my life. I feel blessed to be chosen among many.”
Njambi, who has already arrived in Washington DC, expressed her gratitude for the warm reception.
“So far so good. I am thankful for the warm welcome I have received in Washington. The soil of America has accepted me, and I am a happy person.”
Njambi was a news presenter and show host at the Kikuyu-language station, and her departure marks a significant moment in her career. Before her time at Inooro TV, she worked as an actor, performing with Liberty Theatre, a theater group she joined early in her career.
She first joined Inooro TV in 2016 as a reporter but left in 2018 for an opportunity that didn’t materialize. She returned to RMS in 2020 to continue her work with the station.
In a previous interview, Njambi shared her childhood dream of becoming a journalist and revealed her admiration for TV icon Julie Gichuru. “Growing up, I looked up to Julie Gichuru and never thought I’d be here.”
