President William Samoei Ruto has arrived in Brindisi, Puglia, southern Italy for the G7 Summit.
Ruto, who is one of the five African leaders invited to the summit is expected to address the summit later on Friday.
Other African heads of State attending the summit include the presidents of Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia.
The G7 include Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union, will address critical global issues on international cooperation.
At the summit, president Ruto will emphasize on the importance of involving African countries in finding solutions to global challenges such as climate change, peace and security.
He will also highlight Africa’s potential for green industrialization, digital revolution and innovation and cite the huge renewable energy reserves in the continent.
Additionally, Ruto will outline AU reforms aimed at enhancing trade and development, peace and stability and greater global participation.
