PRESIDENT RUTO NAMES FIRST BATCH OF 11 NEW CABINET NOMINEES

President William Ruto on today has named his first batch of Cabinet Secretaries with familiar faces m making a comeback.

President William Ruto has proposed 11 Cabinet Secretaries to work for his government. He announced this a few minutes after the earlier decision to sack the entire cabinet from his previous administration, with the exclusion of the then Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi.

The newly nominated Cabinet Secretaries and their respective ministries include:

1. Ministry of the Interior and National Administration – Kithure Kindiki

2. Ministry of Health- Debra Mulongo Barasa

3. Ministry of Defence – Aden Duale

4. Ministry of Roads and Transport – Davis Chirchir

5. Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry – Soipan Tuya

6. Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation – Eric Muga

7. Ministry of Education – Julius Migosi

8. Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development – Andrew Muhia Karanja

9. Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development—Alice Wahome

10. Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development—Dr. Andrew Karanja

11. Ministry of Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy—Dr. Margaret Ndungu

At the head of this list is Rebecca Miano’s nomination for Attorney General by President Ruto, designating her new role in the government in matters of legal oversight and constitutional affairs.

The list is now subjected to the approval of Parliament, whereupon the newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries will assume duty and continue with the agenda of President Ruto’s administration.
