Sauti Sol announced in May that the band will be taking an indefinite break after being together for 20 years.
“While the indefinite hiatus marks the end of a specific chapter, it also represents a new beginning for Sauti Sol. As close friends and business partners, the band members are eager to expire fresh creative avenues and embark on personal endeavours,” read their statement.
While singing off, the group held a sold-out concert that saw people pay KSh 20,000 for VIP and KSh 6500 for regular tickets.
What to expect in the 30k concert.
However, their new event has been met with mixed reactions, as the group is now charging KSh 30,000 for the Sol Capital Event.
They shared the announcement on their Instagram page, and the event will be celebrating Capital Club’s Membership and people attending will have a chance to meet the board of governors.
Those who fail to pay the early bird tickets will be forced to cough KSh 35,000 after November 23.
