AFC Leopards midfielder Ronald Sichenje is eyeing more playing after he extended his contract at the Den for two years.

Sichenje  joined AFC Leopards  in 2022 but couldn’t  feature in his first season  as the  club was serving a transfer  ban.

He was then loaned to Mathare  United for a six-month  loan. Under Thomas Trucha Sichenje has featured both as a winger and a left full back. He played 18 matches featuring for 443 minutes.

He was happy to extend his stay at the Den:

“I am grateful to be part of the club and I always feel at home that’s why I renewed my contract, and I am happy I made that decision. My target is to have more minutes of playing time and be the best version of myself. I am also looking forward to scoring goals and assists.”

He added: “The first two years at AFC Leopards have been impeccable. Though in every situation, we always have  ups and downs. I didn’t feature for the club in my first season because of a registration hitch, but I was cleared in the second season.”

Despite being a winger AFC Leopards head coach deployed him at the full back role in the final matches of the 2023/24 season.

The Aspire Academy graduate commented about his new role: “It was a nice experience being deployed in an unfamiliar fullback position in a few matches. Regardless of the position, I will fight for any position given to me by the coach. Any time given to me will be a great opportunity to prove my worth in the team.”
