A joyous wedding celebration turned into a night of horror in the picturesque village of Goult, southeastern France, when armed assailants ambushed the event early Sunday morning. The shocking attack left two people dead, including the bride, and three others injured.


CHAOS UNFOLDS IN THE EARLY HOURS
The attack occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. local time, as the newlyweds were departing the celebration. According to preliminary investigations, the couple encountered masked gunmen outside the venue. Without warning, the attackers opened fire, shattering the night’s revelry.
In a desperate attempt to escape, the bride and groom fled in their car, tragically running over one of the assailants. Despite their efforts to survive, the bride succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities have initiated a large-scale operation to apprehend the remaining attackers. Nearly 100 officers have been deployed to track down those responsible for the deadly shooting.
