Stephanie Kiuna, daughter of Bishop Kathy Kiuna, recently addressed speculation surrounding her absence from her father, Bishop Allan Kiuna’s funeral in July 2024.

Her decision not to attend sparked widespread questions about her relationship with her late father. Now, she has set the record straight in an emotional video shared on her YouTube channel.
Addressing the Rumors
While Stephanie’s siblings, Jeremy and Vanessa, attended the funeral and shared heartfelt tributes online, Stephanie, who resides in Australia, remained silent, fueling speculation. Fans questioned if her absence hinted at unresolved tensions with her late father.
In her video, Stephanie dispelled these rumors, explaining that there was no animosity or conflict.
“This is such a heavy question, but I got so many people asking… One person even asked if there was bad blood between me and dad. To be clear, there was no beef—never! There’s nowhere else I would have rather been than at my dad’s funeral.”
Visa Issues Prevented Her Travel
Stephanie revealed that her inability to attend was due to unavoidable visa challenges in Australia. Despite exhausting all options, including appealing to authorities, she couldn’t secure permission to travel in time.
“We did everything possible. There wasn’t anyone we didn’t try to convince. I wanted to be there so badly, but it was out of my control. It was heartbreaking.”
Cherishing Their Bond
Stephanie shared the deep connection she had with her father and how his passing has left a void in her life. She reflected on their relationship, highlighting moments when she wishes for his guidance.
“I miss him… Life feels different without him. There are moments I want his advice or just to talk to him, but he’s not there. It’s tough.”
She recounted their last meeting during Christmas, a memory that holds even more weight as the holiday season approaches.
“The last time I saw him was Christmas, and now it’s coming up again. The holidays feel heavier because that was our final moment together.”
Living His Legacy
Stephanie emphasized how her father’s encouragement continues to inspire her. Bishop Allan Kiuna pushed her to pursue her dreams and embrace her potential.
“He always told me to be out there, create content, and be the best version of myself. His passing has motivated me to keep going, to make him proud. It’s not easy, but I’m committed to honoring his memory through my growth and success.”
Moving Forward with Strength
Stephanie acknowledged that grief remains a part of her journey, but she’s finding strength in the lessons her father taught her. She is focused on living a life that aligns with the values he instilled and cherishing the memories they shared.
Her story is a testament to the resilience required to navigate loss, as well as the enduring power of love and family bonds.
