Shabana held KCB to a 1-1 draw in an FKF Premier League match played on Saturday at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay.
Brian Michira gave Shabana the lead in the 7th minute before Francis Kahiro pulled the teams level. Shabana dominated the game and would have won but their strikers were not clinical in front of the goal.
The Glamour Boys suffered a blow after four players Sila Shihemi, Brian Magare, Absolom Aduda and Dennis Ongeri suffered serious injured and were forced out of the game.
“It was a good game which we would have won but we failed to convert our chances. We were also forced to make four substitutions due to injuries,” said Shabana assistant coach Caleb Aringa.
Shabana will play Kakamega Homeboyz in the next game on Saturday at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.
At Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, Nairobi City Stars upset log leaders Posta Rangers 1-0. Samuel Kapen scored the all important goal. Brian Muchiri scored a hattrick as Ulinzi Stars beat Talanta 3-0.
In the National Super League, unbeaten Luanda Villa thrashed Mombasa Stars 4-0 at Mumboha grounds while Silibwet upset Migori Youth 2-1 at Bomet Stadium.
Derrick Anami grabbed a brace while Vintex Brian added the third as high flying Naivas beat Mulembe United 3-0 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Rainbow and Mara Sugar played to a barren draw while Kisumu All Stars beat visiting Kajiado FC 3-1 at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
