National Super League (NSL) side Darajani Gogo’s coach Caleb Aringa has resigned from the struggling club.

Aringa confirmed he had tendered his resignation following a string of poor results and interference from the management.

“Wrangles in the management contributed to our poor show in the league because the chairman insisted on some players to be signed. The bringing in of Paul Ogai as the technical director also brought wrangles,” said Aringa.

The CAF B license holder added: “Ogai’s role was not properly spelled out because he used to sit on the bench. I felt uncomfortable and resigned. I will take a break but I will be back.”

Ogai who was recently sacked by Sofapaka where he was an assistant coach now takes over from Aringa as the head coach.

Ogai formerly coached Palos FC, Kisumu All-Stars, Western Stima, Kibera Black Stars, and Coast Stima.

He has been charged with the responsibility of reviving Darajani Gogo’s dwindling fortunes. Ogai’s first match will be against Dimba Patriots in Kajiado on Saturday.

The club remains winless in the current season. Last weekend, the club lost 1-0 against Migori Youth at Migori Stadium. The club sits 19th on the log with a paltry one point after four games.
