Butali Sugar Warriors manager Zachary Aura is certain on his side to retaining the Kenyan Hockey Union (KHU) men’s premier league title this season. The defending champions prolong their unbeaten run in the league after thumping Sikh Union 4-3 in a thriller at Dashmesh Stadium on Saturday.
Kennedy Muniolo scored a brace with George Mutira and Constant Wakhura scoring a goal each for Butali while Yuvraj Walmiki’s brace and Anup Walmiki goal ensured Sikh Union gave Butali a run for their money.
Butali are yet to drop points in the 12 matches they have played in the top-flight league this season notching 10 wins and two draws.
Aura has however warned his side against complacency with their sights firmly set on retaining their title.
“I am happy that we are progressing well. My boys are playing well under my instructions and thus I believe we will seal the title early enough. We had a bit of challenges on short corners but that is something we shall rectify going to other matches.”

Wazalendo, Sailors and USIU – A are all joint in 14 points and rank fourth to sixth respectively in the standings.
