At the same time, the club has entered into a partnership with online firm ChapaBet.
The club’s chairman Paul Mayieko said: “It’s true we have entered into a partnership with ChapaBet. However, finer details will be released in due course once everything is complete. Negotiations between us and ChapaBet are at an advanced stage.”
“This will be a major boost to the team which has been relying on individual contributions to honour home and away matches. Last season, we struggled to honor matches and this partnership will be a big sigh of relief for us,” added Mayieko.
He said the partnership will be launched in Kisii in two weeks’ time. “Once we agree on all the finer details, we plan to do the launch during one of our home matches,” noted Mayieko.
Mayieko added that with the partnership, they will challenge for FKF Kenya Premier League qualification. Last season, the club was at one point in the race for promotion but lost steam midstream.
Mayieko at the same time announced that their opening NSL game against Vihiga Bullets will be played at Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho and not Awendo Green Stadium as earlier announced.
