Ali Mukhwana claimed he and another pastor sent KSh 200,000 to Rose Muhando to attend a crusade in Bungoma.
Mukhwana later found out that Muhando had also agreed to attend five other crusades on the same date and had received money from them.
Muhando allegedly failed to show up at any of the crusades and claimed she was sick, leaving Mukhwana and the other pastors disappointed.
Award-winning gospel singer Ali Mukhwana has accused renowned Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando of conning Kenyan gospel singer of KSh 200,000.
Mukhwana claimed that Muhando took the money with a promise of attending a crusade in his county, but she failed to show up.
Mukhwana, who was one of the organisers of the crusade, said that he contacted Muhando and agreed that she would be a guest artiste at the event.
He said that Muhando demanded KSh 200,000 as her fee and he sent her the money. He also said that Muhando allowed her image to be used in the poster promoting the crusade. However, Mukhwana said he was shocked when he saw other posters of Muhando, which showed that she had promised to attend five other crusades in different parts of the country on the same date. He said that he confronted Muhando about the issue, but she lied that those other posters were fake and that she had only agreed to attend his crusade.
Mukhwana said that he verified with the pastors of the other churches and found out that Muhando had also received money from them and had confirmed her attendance.
“How many of you showed the image of Rose Mundo on the poster? You all saw it. This is what happened; we contacted and agreed that she would be free to attend the crusade. She demanded KSh 200,000 and we sent her. Immediately I posted the poster with her image on it people started sending me different posters. The posters showed that Muhando was set to attend 5 other crusades which were coinciding with ours.
