ZABRON SINGERS MOURN THE LOSS OF LEAD SINGER MARCO JOSEPH, DIES DURING HEART TREATMENT

Famous Tanzanian musical group Zabron Singers has been hit with a major blow after one of its energetic members died while undergoing treatment.

Marco Joseph, one of the lead musicians at Zabron Singers, passed on while undergoing heart treatment at Muhimbili National Hospital in Tanzania. The lead singer is reported to have passed away on the night of 21st August in a Dar es Salaam hospital, according to the chairman of Zabron Singers.

In a Facebook post, Zabron Singers chairperson Obeid Kazimili wrote that the group would soon share more details concerning Marco’s burial arrangements. “As the chair of Zabron Singers, I am saddened to announce that our singer, Marco Joseph Bukulu , who was deputy chairperson, died in the Jakaya hospital in Dar es Salaam.”.

The Zabron Singers have won over the souls and youthful energy of a good number across East Africa.

What catapulted them into stardom was the hits ‘Mkono wa Bwana’ and ‘Sweetie Sweetie’, which literally made the world talk about them.

Of the many great releases, it is ‘Mkono wa Bwana’ that has indeed been sensational with popular tracks like Sweetie Sweetie, Nakutuma Wimbo, Imenigharimu, Nawapenda, Nitaweza, Sikiachi Tena, and Sio Bure. Other popular songs range from Hujanitenga, Lushiku, Nitasubiri to Mpiga Kinanda.

‘Mkono Wa Bwana’ was what gave them a great light as it scores over 45 million views on YouTube.

The lead singers in ‘Sweetie Sweetie’, Victoria, Jamila, Japheth, and the team head Joseph,all hail from the Zabron family.

The song became an anthem, earning them an honor to perform during the inauguration ceremony of President William Ruto.
