EMMY KOSGEI’S HUSBAND, APOSTLE MADUBUKO’S JOURNEY: FROM FREEMASONRY TO FAITH - Kenyan News

Apostle Anselm Madubuko, husband to celebrated Kenyan gospel artist Emmy Kosgei, has revealed a gripping story of his past involvement in Freemasonry and his transformation into a servant of God. The Nigerian preacher’s testimony offers a powerful message of redemption and faith, detailing his struggle to leave behind the secretive brotherhood even after becoming born again.

Early Life and the Allure of Freemasonry

Born into wealth and privilege, Madubuko’s life took a dark turn during his university days. At just 18, while studying architecture, he ventured into campus politics, gaining fame and influence as a Director of Socials. His prominence grew as he became a nightclub DJ, immersing himself in a fast-paced lifestyle of power and excess.

However, a troubling family pattern of firstborn deaths led him to seek protection, drawing him to the seemingly powerful Freemasonry brotherhood. By the age of 21, Madubuko had been initiated into Freemasonry, quickly rising to become a Master Mason and leader of a feared campus cult known as the Pirates of Fraternity.

The Turning Point

Despite his wealth, influence, and status, Madubuko felt an emptiness he couldn’t shake. His encounter with a young Christian during an internship was pivotal. Unlike Madubuko, this man had no material wealth but exuded peace and contentment that Madubuko found deeply intriguing.

Over time, the persistent sharing of the gospel by this young man planted seeds of faith in Madubuko’s heart. At 25, he prayed the salvation prayer, feeling an instant and profound release. Yet, his journey to freedom was far from over.

Struggling to Break Free

Even after his conversion, Madubuko struggled to sever ties with Freemasonry. He admitted to initially believing he could maintain his brotherhood connections for financial security while following Christ. The decision to leave came with significant risks, including being disowned by his father.

Eventually, Madubuko realized the incompatibility of serving both Christ and Freemasonry. Choosing faith, he cut ties with the secret society. Contrary to his fears, his life flourished. His father, initially critical of his decision, later embraced Christianity, inspired by Madubuko’s transformation.

A Testimony of Hope

Today, Madubuko uses his extraordinary story to inspire others who feel trapped in similar situations. His journey from a Freemasonry leader to a preacher serves as a testament to the transformative power of faith and the possibility of redemption for anyone willing to surrender fully to God.
