Kenyan students are poised to benefit from a groundbreaking initiative that bridges the gap between local talent and global opportunities, thanks to a partnership between Nexford University and Constructor University in Germany. This hybrid degree pathway offers learners a seamless transition from online education in Kenya to on-campus learning and career opportunities in Europe.

Unlocking Global Education and Career Opportunities

The collaboration allows Kenyan students to begin their undergraduate or postgraduate studies online with Nexford University and later transition to Constructor University’s campus in Bremen, Germany. Nexford University CEO, Fadl Al Tarzi, emphasized the program’s affordability and accessibility, stating,

“With this pathway, students can start their journey from home, save on living costs, and transition to Germany when they’re ready.”

This innovative approach eliminates the high upfront costs associated with studying abroad, enabling students to access global education and enter Europe’s competitive job market.

A Strategic Pathway for Kenyan Learners

Under the program, students can complete up to 50% of their degree online through Nexford University, which offers future-focused, workplace-aligned education. They then transfer to Constructor University to finish their studies, gaining hands-on international experience and direct access to job opportunities in Europe.

Graduate students also have the option to pursue dual-degree programs, with select courses recognized by both institutions, increasing their value and employability. Additionally, students transitioning to Constructor University will automatically qualify for partial scholarships and deferred tuition payment plans, ensuring financial accessibility without compromising on quality.

Addressing Germany’s Labor Market Shortage

The program aligns with Kenya and Germany’s 2024 bilateral agreement aimed at leveraging Kenya’s skilled workforce to address Germany’s labor shortages. According to projections, Germany faces a deficit of over 7 million skilled workers by 2035, with STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) particularly impacted. Over 209,000 STEM positions remain vacant, highlighting the urgent demand for qualified professionals.

Students completing their degrees at Constructor University can take advantage of Germany’s 18-month post-study work visa, facilitating their integration into Europe’s job market.

Leveraging Technology for Affordable Education

Nexford University, known for its innovative use of technology, offers education at a fraction of the cost of traditional universities. Its programs are designed to equip students with practical, in-demand skills that prepare them for global careers.

Constructor University, established in 2001, is a private, English-language institution in Bremen, Germany. The university’s interdisciplinary approach and advanced learning tools empower students to address real-world challenges while fostering critical thinking and innovation.

A Bright Future for Kenyan Talent

This partnership not only opens doors for Kenyan students to access world-class education but also ensures they are well-positioned to thrive in Europe’s job market. The initiative exemplifies how strategic collaborations can create transformative opportunities, bridging the gap between talent supply and demand.
