The woman at the heart of the controversy is none other than Kakamega Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda, who also serves in a senior capacity within Oparanya’s office.
Reports indicate that Elsie allegedly abandoned her matrimonial home and moved in with the CS shortly after his Cabinet appointment. Her estranged husband has since accused Oparanya of misusing his powerful position to destabilize their marriage.
