A bizarre scene unfolded after a man was arrested for pulling off one of the boldest stunts witnessed in recent times — stealing a police Land Cruiser straight from a station compound.
According to eyewitness reports, the suspect casually strolled into the police station, hopped into the official vehicle, and drove away as if it were his own.
The joyride didn’t last long. Alert officers quickly swung into action, giving chase and intercepting him before he could get far.
A viral video circulating on social media captures the chaotic arrest, with several officers pinning the man to the ground as stunned members of the public looked on.
When questioned, the suspect offered a rather unusual justification. He claimed he took the Land Cruiser in retaliation, alleging he had earlier been assaulted by officers. He went on to argue that since the vehicle belongs to the Government — and by extension, the taxpayers — he had every right to drive it.
The strange explanation, however, did not save him from being bundled into custody. The spectacle drew a large crowd, many left shaking their heads in disbelief at the rare showdown between law enforcers and the suspect.
