Buja Queens of Burundi has named eight Kenyans for their CECAFA CAF Women Champions League Zonal Qualifiers that Kicks Off on Saturday 12th August in Uganda.
The eight Kenyans include midfielder Corazone Aquino, goalkeeper Monica Karambu, Topista Situma, Racheal Muema, Diana Wachera, Elizabeth Wambui, Ruth Ingotsi and Lydia Waganda.
The ladies from Burundi will be in action on Saturday where they will be up against Ethiopia’s CBE from 1pm EAT. Apart from CBE, the team is in Group A alongside hosts Kampala Queens, South Sudan’s Yei Joint Stars and FAD FC of Djibouti.
Kenya will be represented in the competition by Vihiga Queens who are in Group B alongside Tanzania’s JKT Queens, Rwanda’s AS Kigali and Zanzibar’s New Generation.
The competition kicks off today upto 24th August with the winner set to represent CECAFA in Cote D’Ivoire.
