Spain qualified for the FIFA Womens World Cup final after a 2-1 victory against Sweden on Tuesday.
Olga Carmona puts La Roja into the World Cup final as she emerges the hero of the match after coming in to make sure her late goal was enough for their victory. There was a lot that happened in the match from kickoff with both teams trying to make sure they got the job done. Sweden were in the match pulling everything possible from their end to enable them to make something happen but failed.
Spain saw more of the ball and did the pressing which also saw them going close at some point, but it wasn’t good enough for a goal. They still had a lot of time for making something happen, but none could play out knowing what was at stake at the moment between them. Both teams headed for the break with a goalless 0-0 scoreline after 45 minutes of football which was on edge from both teams.
The Swedish Women will have to play for a third-place match after coming through with so much from them but failed to reach the final.
