Mathare United beat Mara Sugar 2-0 to hand them their first defeat of the season in a National Super League (NSL) match played at Utalii playground in Nairobi on Saturday.
Pascal Ogweno and Tony Odhiambo scored for Mathare United in the 54th and 87th minutes respectively on match day six.
Mara Sugar coach Francis Xavier said: “It was bad in the office. A draw would have been a fair result but we now have to focus on the next game.”
Migori Youth came from a goal down to hold visiting Nairobi United to a 1-1 draw in a game that was played at Awendo Green Stadium in Migori.
Elly Owande equalized for the hosts after Rodgers Oporia gave Nairobi United an early lead in the game that was played behind closed doors.
Migori Youth were banned from hosting five of their matches at home and behind closed doors after crowd trouble during their game against Darajani Gogo.
It was a second consecutive draw for Nairobi United who were held to a similar 1-1 draw against Silibwet Leons last weekend.
Newcomers Luanda Villa and Kajiado FC played to a 1-1 draw at Mumbaho Sports Ground in Luanda, Vihiga County.
