Nzoia Sugar moved from the bottom of the log after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kariobangi Sharks at Sudi Sports Ground in Bungoma County.

Emmanuel Osoro scored the all-important goal in the 90th minute as the Millers recorded their second win of the season.

Following the win, Nzoia moved to 14th on the log with nine points. Consequently, Shabana drops to the bottom of the log

In the National Super League, at Mumboha Sports Ground, Mara Sugar suffered a 2-1 loss against Luanda Villa. It was Mara Sugar’s second loss in three games.

Talanta drubbed Sofapaka 3-0. Augustine Kuta, Danson Kago, and Kevington Michika were on target for Talanta.

Nairobi City Stars compounded AFC Leopards’ problems after drubbing them 3-2 at Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani. Samuel Kapen, Robin Asenwa, and Vincent Owino scored for Simba wa Nairobi while Brian Yakhama and Victor Otieno replied for AFC Leopards.

Mara Sugar has not won a game after the departure of coach Francis Xavier two weeks ago. The club is set to unveil Vincent Nyaberi as the new head coach on Monday.

He was to be unveiled on Friday but he was unavailable as he was graduating after completing a four-month CAF B course.

At Cardinal Otunga High School in Kisii, Mathare United beat hosts Gusii FC 2-1. Elly Asieche and Tony Odhiambo scored for the Slum Boys while Kevin Onsongo scored Gusii’s consolation goal for the hosts.  

Darajani Gogo remained unbeaten under Paul Ogai after battling to a barren draw against Naivas FC at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Kajiado FC returned to winning ways after beating newcomers Rainbow 2-0
