Raila Odinga Stadium In Homabay, Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu and Kiambu’s Kirigiti Stadium, Approved to host FKF PL matches for the 2023-24 season.
The three newly opened facilities have all been permitted to host both low and high-risk matches, with several clubs already expressing interest in using them.
The newly promoted side Shabana FC have make public that they will have their first home match against fellow newbies Murang’a Seal at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay.
Last season, several sides, mostly Posta Rangers and Bidco United used the Thika Stadium for their home matches. Bidco, based in Thika, also played some of their home matches in Nairobi and will now seemingly permanently move their home to the capital.
Machakos has not been used for Premier League matches since the rapture of the COVID-19 pandemic when the County Government turned it into a temporary health facility.
Narok was also sparingly used, but only in the 2021-22 season.
The Police Sacco Stadium, which also hosted several matches last season has also been approved to host both low and high risk matches, and so has the Ulinzi Sports Complex which also started being used last season.
