Shabana dropped into the relegation zone after losing 1-0 to Gor Mahia at Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani on Wednesday.

Harambee Stars defender Rooney Onyango scored for the KPL in the 90th minute as a 10-man Shaban succumbed to a fourth loss in the league.

 Shabana’s Absolom Aduda was sent off for retaliation in the game that was well attended. Shabana travels to Mombasa for an encounter against Bandari on Sunday.

AFC Leopards were held to a 0-0 draw by Kariobangi Sharks at Ulinzi Sports Complex.

The first half was a cagey affair with both teams unable to create clear-cut goal-scoring chances. The second half however showed more promise with more chances created, Sharks coming closest testing AFC’s Humphrey Katasi.

Meanwhile, at Kasarani Annex Bidco United beat Muhoroni Youth 3-0. The early exchanges of the matches witnessed a 5th minute goal by Eric Michubu who slotted in from close range.

Chris Opondo extended their lead in the 27th minute mark and Wainaina sealed the victory with a third goal just three minutes later capitalizing on a defensive error by Muhoroni Youth.

Bidco United held on to their three-goal advantage till the end of the match.

Elsewhere, Bandari beat Kenya Police 3-2 at Mbaraki Sports Club.

Abdallah Hassan orchestrated the first goal, floating in a cross that was met by Derick Nsibambi. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of the Dockers.

The second half saw Amai Atariza equalize in the 84th minute but Nahimana Shasiri put the home side ahead in the 87th minute.

Kenya Police again equalized well into added time through a David Simiyu strike however the home side still got a last-minute winner with Benja Nyamwayi with the match ending 3-2.

In the meantime, Sofapaka picked a vital three points following a 3-0 win over KCB.

Khalid Jumaan opened the scoring early in the 12th minute before Fiston Abdul Razak stretched their lead into the halftime break by 2 goals.

The final goal of the match came through an Amos Asembeka long-range effort that found the top right corner.

In other matches, Nzoia Sugar secured an away point against Talanta, Ulinzi won by a goal to nil against Tusker and Murang’a Seal beat Nairobi City Stars 2-1.

The FKFPL round 9 continues tomorrow Thursday, November 1, 2023, with Kakamega Homeboyz taking on league leaders Posta Rangers at Bukhungu Stadium.
