Shabana’s losing streak in the FKF Kenya Premier League continued when they lost 2-1 against Bandari at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa.
Derrick Nsibambi and Andrew Juma scored for Bandari while second-half substitute Nehemiah Onchiri scored Shabana’s consolation.
After the game, angry Shabana fans protested demanding the sacking of head coach Sammy Okoth and his entire technical bench.
In an interview, club secretary general Elizaphan Kerama promised changes in the technical bench. “Enough is enough. This technical bench is not up to the task,” said Kerama.
At St Sebastian Park in Murang’a, hosts Murang’a Seal came from a goal down to beat Tusker 2-1. It was the Tuskers’ fourth loss in five games. Batts Awita and Titus Kapchanga scored for Murang’a Seal while Byamukama John pulled one back for Tusker.
Elsewhere, log leaders Posta Rangers and KCB battled to a barren draw in Nairobi. At Ulinzi Sports Complex, Bidco edged Ulinzi Stars 1-0. Chris Opondo scored for Bidco.
Bidco finished the game with 10 men after John Owinga was sent off for a second bookable offense.
Kakamega Homeboyz beat Muhoroni Youth 2-0 at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega. Moses Shumah scored a brace for Homeboyz.
In a late kick-off, Gor Mahia and Kenya Police shared the spoils after battling to a barren draw at Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.
In the second tier National Super League, Luanda Villa remained unbeaten after battling to a 2-2 draw against Kisumu All Stars at Mumboha grounds in Vihiga.
At Machakos Stadium, Mully Children’s Family upset Migori Youth 1-0 to record their first win of the season while at Ukunda showground in Kwale, Nairobi United and SS Assad played to a 2-2 draw. Dimba Patriots held Kibera Black Stars to a 1-1 draw.
