Kenya Premier League side Shabana will make changes in the technical bench, secretary general Elizaphan Kerama has said.
Already, the club has identified former Kakamega Homeboyz assistant coach Timothy Ondeko to join the technical bench. “We are currently negotiating with Ondeko to come on board as one of the assistants and as a strength and conditioning coach,” said Kerama.
Ondeko currently handles Women Premier League side Bunyore Starlets and is likely to join Tore Bobe ahead of their game against Gor Mahia on November 1 at Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.
On Sunday, Shabana will seek their second win of the season when they face Ulinzi Stars at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi.
“If all goes well, Ondeko should join us in Nairobi ahead of the Ulinzi game. We are finalizing the deal. We identified gaps in the technical bench which we want to cure before it’s too late,” added Kerama.
Ondeko will join the technical bench which is headed by Sammy Okoth. The club’s other assistant coaches are Oscar Kambona and Kevin Momanyi.
Speaking ahead of the game against Ulinzi Stars, coach Sammy Okoth said: “We want to win the game by all means. We dropped two points against Nairobi City Stars which still hurts. We were poor defensively but we have worked on the area this week,” added Okoth.
