Ugandan attacker Peter Lwasa has confirmed his departure from FKF Premier League champions Gor Mahia.
Lwasa, as quoted by the Star, said he was proud of what he had achieved with the club, noting that they put in a lot of effort to steer K’Ogalo to their 20th title.
“I have this Thursday officially parted ways with Gor Mahia FC. I want to extend a big thanks to everyone at K’Ogalo for putting in such hard work on every task we have had. It hasn’t been easy, but I think we reached new heights on everything! I’m proud of each one of you for never giving up and supporting one another,” Lwasa remarked.
“To the fans, I can’t find good words to express my appreciation for the support you gave the team. However, big up buddies! I wish the club the best ahead. Have a great time,” he said.
Lwasa’s announcement comes barely a month after he made a similar statement that indicated he had severed ties with the record Kenyan champions.
It remains to be seen where the Ugandan will land next after previous stints with Sofapaka FC and Kariobangi Sharks in the Kenyan top flight.
