Sixty coaches graduated from the CAF B and C coaching courses in a joint ceremony held in Kenya Institute of Education.
The event was presided over by Football Kenya Federation Deputy President Doris Petra and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Korir.
Petra and Korir lauded the graduates for their commitment to advancing their coaching careers and raising the standards of football in the country.
This year’s CAF C class made history as the first all-female cohort to complete the program, underscoring the federation’s commitment to empowering women in football.
The groundbreaking achievement aligns with FKF’s strategic focus on fostering inclusivity and providing equal opportunities for women in the sport.
Speaking during the ceremony, Deputy President Doris Petra emphasized the importance of equipping coaches with the skills and knowledge to nurture talent across the country.
“These graduations signify not only personal growth but also a collective step forward for Kenyan football. We are proud of the strides we are making to enhance coaching standards at all levels,” she remarked.
The graduation also serves as a precursor to another CAF C graduation scheduled for December 6, which will cap off a productive year for the federation’s coaching development programs.
The event’s highlights the Football Kenya Federation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the technical expertise within the football ecosystem, ensuring that Kenyan coaches are well-prepared to compete and excel on both local and international stages.
Valeo Football Ladies coach Pauline Awuor hailed the federation for organizing a women only course. “I feel like I’m a new person now. The federation did a good thing for organizing this course because other classes are normally dominated by men,” said Awuor.
On her part, Mombasa Olympic Ladies Geredner Akumu said: “As coaches we should improve our knowledge. This is the only way we can develop the game especially at the grassroots.”
