Kenya Police Bullets has been drawn in a tough Group A of the 2024 CAF Women Champions League CECAFA Zonal qualifiers.
The draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt.
The qualifying tournament, whose winner will represent the CECAFA region in the CAF Women’s Champions League, is scheduled to take place from August 17 to September 4, 2024, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Kenya Police Bullets under coach Beldine Odemba was crowned FKF Women Premier League Champions in June this year, will face off Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (C.B.E) FC (Ethiopia), Yei Joint FC (South Sudan), Warrior Queens (Zanzibar), and Rayon Sports Women (Rwanda).
Group B will feature Tanzania’s Simba Queens, P.V.P Buyenzi (Burundi), Kawempe Muslim Ladies (Uganda), and FAD Djibouti (Djibouti) will face off.
This is the first time Kenya Police Bullets will participate in this prestigious competition, succeeding Vihiga Queens, who represented the country in the first and second editions.
The law enforcers have already started beefing the squad by signing Vihiga Queens forward Emily Morang’a, current U17 captain Elizabeth Ochaka, Jane Hato from Mathare United’s Women team, striker Bertha Omitta from Sethu FC in Indian Women Premier League , and defender Norah Annie from Vihiga Bullets.
The club has released Chris Kach (striker), Georgina Mulati (defender), Belinda Akinyi (goalkeeper), and Ivy Faith (midfielder).
