AFC Leopard’s upcoming central defender Emmanuel  Lwangu has extended his stay at the club for two years.

Lwangu, 21, renewed his contract on Thursday ahead of the 2024/25 FKF Premier League season.

The talented defender joined the Den in 2022 from Kakamega High School’s Green Commandos but  did not  feature in his first season as the  club was serving a transfer  ban. 

He made his debut  in  2023 and played  10 matches, featured  for  615 minutes,  scoring one goal .

Lwangu talks about his two years stay at the den: “It has been a privilege playing for this team  for the last two years and being a rookie. I have really learned a lot from the senior and experienced players in the team on and off the pitch . I’m thrilled to have renewed my contract. It is an incredible opportunity for me. I am grateful for the trust that the club has shown in me. It is a great honor.”

“I am motivated by having this opportunity to learn and grow in my career. Being part of this team allows me to challenge myself and improve my skills,” he added.

Lwangu says that he is fully focused and working hard to get more playing time . “I am hopeful that with the help of our able technical bench and teammates, we will grab some titles at the end of the season,” he concluded.
