

FKF Premier League side Murang’a Seal on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of veteran Juma Abdallah as head coach.
“The club wishes to confirm the appointment of Juma Abdallah as our new head coach. Karibu Nyumbani coach Abdallah,” the club said in a terse statement issued on Tuesday afternoon.
Abdallah takes over from interim coach Denise Wise Okoth who has been interim coach since the departure of Gabriel ‘Kingi’ Njoroge four weeks ago.
Okoth, a former midfielder took to his social media to confirm his departure.
“There is no elevator to success; you have to take the stairs. Wishing you well in the upcoming matches,” he posted on his Facebook page. He was in charge of Murang’a Seal for three games, drawing two and losing one.
Abdallah is likely to Murang’a Seal with his coaching staff. He faces a herculean as Murang’a Seal has gone six games without a win.
His first game in charge will be against fifth-placed Posta Rangers at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Murang’a Seal sits 10 on the log with 24 points from 18 games. The newly promoted club has drawn six, lost six, and won six games so far. Abdallah’s main task will be to save the St Sebastian Park-based club from relegation.
He is expected to oversee the signing of at least five new players as they seek to bolster the side.
