FKF Premier League side Kenya Police unveiled Burundian Ettiene Ndayiragije as a head coach.
He takes over from Anthony Kimani who was sacked two weeks ago alongside his deputy Salim Babu following their 1-0 loss against Shabana. Ndayiragije is a former Burundi national team coach.
He also previously coached Tanzania Premier League side Azam coach. “We officially unveil Ndayiragije Etienne as Head Coach,” the club announced on social media.
“In the presence of our Club Chairman, Mr. Nyale Munga, Coach Etienne takes the reins to lead us into an exciting chapter of ambition and growth. Renowned for his expertise and winning mindset, Coach Etienne’s appointment signals our commitment to achieving excellence both on and off the pitch,” the club announced on their social media pages.
Kenya Police and Harambee Starlets coach Beldine Odemba has been an interim coach since the sacking of Kimani and Babu. Ndayiyagije is expected to be in charge of the Kenya Police game against AFC Leopards on Sunday.
Separately, reports indicate that AFC Leopards coach Tomas Trucha is on his way out of the club. Reports indicate that he is unlikely to be in charge of the game against Kenya Police on Sunday.
The club’s hierarchy is an happy with the club’s performance which has seen the club go five games without a win.
