FKF Premier League side Tusker FC on Sunday announced that captain Charles Momanyi and Ugandan striker Deogratious Ojok have renewed their contracts with club.

Momanyi and Ojok extended their contracts with the team for a further season. Momanyi has been an integral part of the club since joining three seasons ago.

Despite battling with injury for most part of the first half of last season, he came back strong and was a key member of the squad in the last few matches of the season where he scored two crucial goals.

Ojok also had a tough season last term as he struggled for fitness with injury, but his numbers told no lie as he scored five goals and had three assists in the 13 matches he featured in. He scored our first and last goals of the season against Bandari FC and Kakamega Homeboyz respectively.

“I am glad to have extended my contract and my hope is that I remain fit this season. I have worked so much on my physical fitness and hopefully I will score double digit goals,” Ojok said after penning his new contract.

The Brewers have already parted ways with Eric Kapaito, Daniel Sakari, Brian Bwire, Eric Zakayo, Stewart Omondi, Collins Otieno, Jimmy Mbugua, Eugene Asike, Boniface Onyango, Eric Otieno and Ibrahim Joshua.

Sakari and Zakayo have since joined Kenya Police with Kapaito expected to join Tanzania’s Namugongo while Bwire is said to be headed to South Africa’s PSL league.

The club is in the process of recruiting new players. Among the new faces training at Ruaraka are Nairobi City Stars left back Bennis Wanjala, former Kariobangi Sharks forward Sven Yidah, former Muhoroni Youth defender Alex Onchwati, Murang’a Seal midfielder Eric Belencho, Gor Mahia defender Alvin Ochieng and former Sofapaka striker Jacob Onyango.  

Nairobi City Stars chief executive officer Patrick Korir confirmed the departure of Wanjala. “He has been with us for three seasons and has our blessings to pursue and advance his career in his 8th premier league season with his new employers,” said Korir. Ends
