The 2024 Ingo 7s Champions and Christie 7s runner’s up, Kenya Harlequin are headlining Pool A of the Dala 7s scheduled to take place on 17th and 18th August at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium.

The Series leaders are joined by Menengai Oilers, Strathmore Leos and Mwamba RFC. The Bankers, KCB RC are in Pool B where they will meet Nondescript RFC, KU Blakblad and Homeboyz RFC.

Ingo 7s third place winners Kabras RFC will play MMUST, the spirited Stallions and tournament hosts, Kisumu in Pool C action while Nakuru RFC, Catholic Monks, Daystar Falcons and Zetech Oaks complete Pool D in the Division one category.

In the Division Two category, the Ingo7s runner-up Kabarak University tops Pool A and is joined by KCA University, Western Bulls and Tororo RFC, in Pool B sees Sigalagala National Poly, Northern Suburbs, Bungoma RFC and MKU Thika face off.

Pool C has TUM Marines, AP Warriors, Vihiga Granites and Nandi Bears, Pool D has Embu RFC, Homabay Rugby, Mbale RFC and Siaya while the final Pool has Shamberere TTI, NYS Spades, Mean Machine and Kifaru RFC. The standby teams are Makueni RFC, Kisumu Polytechnic and Molo RFC.

Victor Sudi was re-elected as chairman of Kenya Harlequin Football Club at the club’s Annual General Meeting held at the Kenya Harlequin’s club house, RFUEA, Nairobi, on 10th August 2024.

Joining Sudi on the Executive Committee are newly elected members Terrence Adembesa, Vice Chairman, Nekesa Were, Hon Secretary, Peris Mukoko, Hon Treasurer, and Dennis Begisen who was re-elected as Grounds Director and Mr. Joel Ng’ang’a who continues as Director of Rugby.

The election was overseen by senior members of the club led by Joe Onsando, Mr Jesse Onsando, and James Mwenda.

Speaking to QuinsTV Chairman Sudi thanked the outgoing committee members, Felix Ochieng, Rosemary Korir, and Onespol Gachanja for their committed and dedicated service to the club.

In his remarks, Joe Onsando, who conducted the election, remarked on the unity of the club reflected in that all the officials were elected unopposed and urged the new committee to act with boldness to take Kenya Harlequin to even greater heights.
