FKF Premier League side Shabana FC players will report to camp on Friday ahead of their pre season.

The club will start their pre season preparations on Monday next week at Cardinal Otunga High School, Mosocho, the club’s secretary general Elizaphan Kerama said.

Kerama said all the players will undergo medical checkups on Saturday and Sunday.

Several potential signings are also expected to train with the Kisii based side with the hope of signing for the club. Kerama said they will recruit quality players ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The club is also set to part ways with more than 10 players including midfielder goalkeeper Mustapha Oduor, defender Rodgers Aloro, striker Enoch Agwanda. Others set to leave are Brian Magare, Peter Ogechi, Hillary Wandera, and Vincent Nyabuto.

Ogechi, one of the club’s longest serving players is likely to join the team’s technical bench after completing his CAF D coaching course.

The players will be released after the technical bench’s assessment of their performance. “The technical bench gave us the performance and we shall use it in releasing players,” said Kerama.

The club is expected to be boosted following the ongoing rehabilitation at Gusii Stadium.

The rehabilitation works will be completed before the end of the month. Last season, Shabana used Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay as their homeground.
