FKF Premier League giants AFC Leopards have announced the signing of South Sudan national team Captain Peter Maker Manyang Mabok on signed a 2-year contract.
Born on 1st January 1994 , the towering defender standing at 1.98m brings a host of experience to one of the best defenses in FKF-PL.
Mabok has 25 caps for the national team . He has previously featured for Amarat United, Juba South Sudan , Zesco united in Zambia , Radnicki Mitrovica of Serbia and Al Dhara in Dubai.
Ingwe also confirmed the signing of Simon Semo on a 2-year contract. He joins the club from FKF-PL side Murang’a Seal.
Semo schooled at Kariobangi North Secondary in Nairobi, has featured in the Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) U-12 category as well as the KPL U-20 Championship for Mathare United where they emerged champions. He also turned out for the National Super League side Dandora Love.
“I am delighted to make this move. AFC Leopards is one of the biggest clubs in the country, the best supported team in the league with very passionate fans. It also has a very rich history. Personally, it’s a big move in my career. I take it as a challenge to myself because of the stiff competition I’m anticipating getting as we start the league.” said an elated Semo.
Semo who’s role model is Kenyan international Eric Ouma says: “My biggest inspiration in life is seeing my role models make a positive step in life which makes me to work hard as I dream to reach their levels at one time in my career.”
Semo reunites with his former teammate at the Mathare U-20 team, Musa Oundo . “Competition is stiff for a place in the first team. He also feels that the team currently has good quality players who can challenge the title this coming season,” Semo said.
