Tusker FC on Wednesday continued strengthening the team following the signing of two talented players from Uganda.
Left back George Kaddu and striker Boban Zirintusa signed one year contracts with the Brewers
Kaddu, a commanding presence on the left side of defense, joins Tusker FC with a strong track record from his recent stint with Wakiso Giants back in his home country.
Known for his exceptional defensive capabilities and dead ball specialty, Kaddu’s arrival is set to enhance the team’s backline and bring a new level of stability and resilience.
The much travelled Zirintusa makes his way to Tusker FC from Tanzania’s Biashara United in Tanzania.
Zirintusa’s goal-scoring prowess and dynamic attacking play will add a fresh dimension to Tusker’s offensive strategy.
After putting pen to paper, Zirintusa saif; “I am delighted to have joined a team of Tusker’s stature. I am here for work and will do my best to score goals and make the fans happy.”
The 32-year old striker has played in South Africa for Polokwane City, in Zambia with Buildcon, in Zimbabwe with Dynamos and has also had a stint in Ethiopia with Ethiopia Coffee. In Uganda, he has featured for Vipers, Express and Busoga.
Kaddu, 25, joins Tusker from Wakiso and has previously played for Butega Red Stars and Kiyinda Boys, also in Uganda.
“It is a delight joining Tusker FC and I am really looking forward to doing better here. It is my first time playing outside Uganda and I am ready for the challenge. I have been here for a few days and the players have really welcomed me well on the pitch and I am looking forward to getting to know them better and earn results on the pitch as a team,” Kaddu noted.
Tusker has so far signed left back Dennis Wanjala from Nairobi City Stars, center back Alex Onchwari from Muhoroni Youth, midfielder Eric Belecho from Murang’a Seal, strikers Jaco Onyango and Thomas Omole from Sofapaka and Vihiga Bullets respectively.
Two weeks ago, the Brewers released 11 players and is in the process of rebuilding the team ahead of the 2024/25 FKF Premier League season.
