Tusker FC on Monday announced the signing of Muhoroni Youth center back Alex Onchwari.
This strategic acquisition bolsters our squad as we aim for excellence in the upcoming season, said the club statement.
“Onchwari brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong defensive prowess that has distinguished him in the FKF Premier League last season. Known for his tactical acumen, solid marking, and leadership on the pitch, Onchwari is set to enhance our defensive line and contribute significantly to our team’s success,” said the club in a statement.
Born in Narok South, Onchwari started his football career with local side Ololulung’a FC. He also picked experience in Somalia, playing for local side Horsed FC.
“We are delighted to welcome Alex Onchwari to the Tusker FC family,” said Chief Executive Officer Sam Nzau.
He added: “His impressive performance at Muhoroni and his dedication to the game align perfectly with our vision for the club. We are confident that Alex’s skills and experience will play a crucial role in our pursuit of new heights this season.”

Tusker has so far signed left back Dennis Wanjala from Nairobi City Stars, attacking midfielder Eric Belecho from Murang’a Seal, striker Jacob Onyango from Sofapaka and youthful forward Dennis Omole from National Super League side Vihiga Bullets.
The club will on Sunday leave for Uganda where they will play three build up matches.
On August 6, the Brewes will face NEC FC before tackling Kitara FC the following day. They will conclude their pre season tour on August 10 when they face off with Lugazi FC.
