GOVERNOR SAKAJA DISMISSES CLAIMS OF IMPENDING IMPEACHMENT

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has firmly dismissed rumors of an impending impeachment, calling them baseless.

At the inauguration of the “Dishi na County” kitchen in Umoja, Sakaja reassured Nairobi residents of his administration’s commitment.

“Our focus remains on delivering what we promised,” he stated. He highlighted that 17 kitchens have been successfully launched in 17 sub-counties.

“We will not be distracted by naysayers,” Sakaja declared. He emphasized that his executive team should ignore speculative rumors and concentrate on service delivery.

He also addressed rumors circulating in the media about a potential impeachment motion.

“We have a mandate,” he said. “We don’t have time for rumors. Our priority is to work for our people.” Sakaja stressed that engaging in gossip was not part of their agenda.

In addition, Sakaja refuted claims that he was removed from President William Ruto’s delegation to China.

“Which plane are people talking about?” Sakaja questioned. “I was supposed to be in Umoja today, not in China. Those are just rumors.”

The Governor praised President Ruto’s collaboration with Raila Odinga. “Despite having a minority in the county assembly, we’ve been successful,” he said.

“Many doubted my decision to work with the opposition,” he continued. “Now it’s clear that inclusivity delivers results. We fully support that.”

MCA members present, including Umoja’s Mark Ronaldo and Korogocho’s Absalom Odhiambo, supported Sakaja’s stance. They urged prioritization of service delivery and dismissed the impeachment talk.

“This is not Meru County,” Odhiambo said. “We will not impeach our Governor.” Ronaldo added, “If anything, underperforming members of the executive should be held accountable first.”
