

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) is set to unveil a new documentary highlighting its legacy in Somalia. This film aims to showcase the significant contributions and sacrifices made by KDF troops during their mission in the war-torn country.
The documentary, titled “KDF Legacy: Protecting Peace in Somalia,” features firsthand accounts from soldiers, military officials, and local communities. It captures the challenges faced by KDF personnel in the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), focusing on their role in combating terrorism and fostering stability.
KDF Spokesperson Colonel Paul Njuguna stated, “This documentary is a tribute to our brave men and women who served selflessly in Somalia. It reflects our commitment to regional peace and security.”
The premiere is scheduled for Sunday 13 October, at the KDF headquarters in Nairobi. It will be attended by military officials, government representatives, and invited guests. The documentary aims not only to honor the troops but also to raise awareness about the ongoing security challenges in the region.
