Police in Kisii engaged demonstrators in running battles for the better part of Friday. Scores of people were shot and injured while property of unkoeb value was destroyed. The demonstrators blocked several roads leading into Kisii town by lighting bonfires. They were demonstrating against thr rising cost of living.
