On Monday, July 14, President Ruto announced the reinstatement of the Kazi Mtaani program, which he had terminated two years ago.

During an inspection of Nakuru Bus Park in Nakuru County, the Head of State stated that he had heeded the calls of Kenyans and assured that the program would recommence the following week.

“I have been approached by some women here who have expressed their desire for Kazi Mtaani. I can confirm that in this Kazi Mtaani Initiative, 500 individuals will be employed here starting next week to ensure that many young people have access to job apportunities,” President Ruto stated.

The program had been initiated by the former President Uhuru Kenyatta during his second term of presidency.
