SAFARICOM DENIES CLAIMS OF CANCELLED STARLINK PAYMENTS
Telecommunications service provider Safaricom has addressed recent rumors regarding the cancellation of Starlink Internet payments via M-Pesa.
On Wednesday, Safaricom responded to a tweet from X user Gathogo B Mwangi, who claimed, “War is War. Safaricom has cancelled the payment of Starlink internet via M-Pesa.”
Amerix also tweeted though Safaricom denied the claims.
Safaricom swiftly refuted these claims, replying, “Bwana Gathogo, this isn’t factual, the option is still there. Please reach out to us in case of any challenges faced.”
This response clarified that the payment option for Starlink Internet remains available through M-Pesa, despite the misinformation circulating online.
Starlink, a high-speed internet service provided by SpaceX, was introduced to the Kenyan market in July 2023.
Safaricom, a telecommunications service provider, yesterday responded to speculation that Starlink Internet had suspended payments using M-Pesa.

Safaricom dismissed the claims, replying, “Bwana Gathogo, this isn’t factual, the option is still there. Please reach out to us in case of any challenges faced.”
The response highlighted that payment for Starlink Internet is accepted on M-Pesa, despite anyone’s intentions otherwise.
Starlink is a high-speed internet option offered by SpaceX, which was launched in the Kenyan market in July 2023. The service aims to provide coverage across the globe in remote areas.
