President William Ruto has officially named Gerald Nyaoma as the new Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK). The announcement, made on Friday, is part of a broader set of appointments to senior positions within the government’s Executive branch.

  • Director of Banking Services
  • Senior Manager of the National Payment Services Division

  • Silvester Okumu Kasuku — Advisor of Governance
  • Maj. (Rtd) Ali Mahat Somane — Advisor of Security Affairs, Office of the National Security Advisor
  • Joe Owaka Ager — Secretary of Governance

Appointments in State Corporations

President Ruto also made significant changes in state corporations, including:

  • Mwangi-wa-Iria — Chairperson of the Public Procurement Regulatory Board
  • Peter Kenneth — Chairperson of the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) National Standards Council
  • Bruno Obodha — Managing Director, East African Portland Cement Company PLC (EAPCC)
