Coach Nyaberi defends ‘nomadism’ life - Kenyan News
Nairobi United players celebrate against Kajiado FC

Newly appointed Nairobi United head coach Vincent Nyaberi has defended his ‘nomadism’ coaching life.

Since he helped Murang’a Seal qualify for the Kenya Premier League, Nyaberi has handled National Super League outfits Mara Sugar and  Yatta based Mully Children’s Family (MCF).

He briefly coached the two teams before quitting in a huff. He is now at the helm of Nairobi United and was in charge of Sunday’s 3-0 win over Kajiado FC at Ildamat Stadium in Kajiado County.

“There is no problem moving from one club to another. Once you get a better offer, you move on. I don’t care what people are saying outside there,” said the CAF B licensed coach.

Nyaberi reiterated that he is focused on helping Nairobi United qualify for the FKF Kenya Premier League next season.

“When I was approached by Nairobi United chairman Samuel Born Maina, he gave me the task of helping the team qualify for the Kenya Premier League. I’m not new in this having helped Murang’a Seal qualify for the top-tier league,” he said.

Nairobi United currently sits third on the NSL log with 32 points, four behind log leaders Naivas FC and second-placed Mathare United. Nairobi United will on Sunday host Rainbow FC at Kasarani Annex Stadium.

At the same time, Kajiado FC has appointed former Mara Sugar coach and Sofapaka assistant coach Francis Xavier as the head coach. He is being assisted by former goalkeeper Godfrey Oputi.

Xavier’s first match in charge was against Nairobi United which they lost 3-0. Kajiado faces another tough game against Migori Youth at Awendo Green Stadium on Sunday as they seek to bounce back to winning ways.
