Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia has appealed against the revocation of their club license certificate which also threw them out of the CAF Champions League.
The club’s chairman Ambrose Rachier on Friday wrote to FKF chief executive officer Barry Otieno and CAF’s head of Club licensing Muhammad Sidat asking the offices to reconsider the decision on revoking the certificate.

Rachier also wants the club reinstated to the CAF Champion League competition.
The club’s license was revoked because the club owes former players Sando Yangayay, Adama Keita, and Jules Ulimwengu outstanding arrears.
However, on Friday, Rachier said all the overdue payables to the players has been remitted. Rachier attached remittance slips after sorting the players.
On Thursday, Otieno wrote to Rachier informing him of the decision to revoke the license.
“We regret to inform you that FKF Club Licensing First Instance Body on the advice of CAF has revoked Gor Mahia’s Club Licensing certificate for being in breach of Article 60 of the CAF Men’s Club Licensing Regulation,” Otieno said in his letter.
He added: “This painful decision has been arrived at by the FIB after former Gor Mahia players reached out to CAF due to breach of payment agreements and overdue payables.”
The CAF Champions League draw was supposed to be done on Friday afternoon.
